KDF Soldier Sentenced to 5-Year Jail Term for Obtaining KSh 300k in Recruitment Malpractices




It is a five-year jail term for Corporal Fred Kiptum Kiplagat after he was found guilty of recruitment malpractices The KDF soldier was convicted of obtaining KSh 300k from military hopefuls under the false pretence he would help them gain entry into the armed forces The Magistrate directed that all the charges run concurrently and granted the accused 14 days to lodge an appeal if dissatisfied with the court's decision.

 A Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) soldier was on Monday, November 29, 2021, handed a five-and-a-half-year jail sentence by a Court Martial at Lang’ata Barracks over recruitment malpractices.
